About the field notes
Who writes these notes, how the mirror set gets verified, what the project covers and what it stays away from.
Who writes
A small editor group with a bookmark to TorZon Market and enough patience to sit through the anti-DDoS queue every couple of weeks. Not affiliated with the operator. Posts are signed Editor because the project exists to publish accurate information, not to elevate a personal brand.
How verification works
Every operator signed rotation gets imported into gpg. Every message gets verified against the operator public key we have had on file since the market opened. If the signature validates, the address inside goes on the mirrors page. If it does not, nothing goes anywhere and we take a screenshot for our own record.
What we cover
- Operator-side events: rotations, key notes, feature changes on the storefront
- Coordinated pressure events: DDoS waves, phishing waves, credential-stuffing patterns
- Reader mail: questions that come up in the inbox repeatedly
- Occasional editorial thoughts on how the storefront architecture is aging
What we do not cover
- Vendor recommendations. Vendors change and rotate, that is not our beat.
- Individual product prices or availability.
- Advocacy for or against using the storefront. Whether to use it under your local law is your decision, not ours.
- Sponsored content. We do not take money for coverage. There are no ad slots, no affiliate links, no upsells.
